Birr town u10s returned to winning ways against a very strong st Joseph’s blues team Saturday there was nothing to separate the teams for the first fifteen minutes but went a goal down against the run of play birr didn’t waste anytime and got the equaliser within a minute thanks to his first goal of the season for Sam p birr continued to pressure the Athlone defence and went on to win the match 4-2 a hatrick of goals from player of the game Andrew p who was on fire all day and took his goals brilliantly special mention to Jayden who was sick and couldn’t attend the game also to cuahlain who was very unlucky not to score from the penalty spot smashing his shot off the crossbar thanks to all the players and parents for traveling

Birr town u10s travelled to temple villa lions this morning with a depleted squad and missing there main shot stopper keeper Lukasz, birr went close so many times within the first 10 minutes but agonisingly went wide of the mark, but birr got off soon afterwards with a goal from harry Ryan , goals started to come fast and furious in a flurry with goals from Caolan Mcloughlin , Jayden Deane , Andrew Plunkett, and to put the icing on the cake was a worldie of a goal from a long looping shot from the middle of the field for his first goal for birr take a bow Erikas, Defence was like a brick wall in the form of Evan ,Erikas, Alex, and cillian, solid and calm worked very hard all game, midfield/ attackers set the tempo all game with hard work , energy, trickery, caolan ,jayden , Andrew ,harry, played with great passion some lovely well worked moves/passes resulting in some great goals and stand out performances,These young men show the future is promising for birr and even though there still only young they are well on there way to being future stars for the club .captain for the day was Andrew Plunkett, man of the match goes to every single one of the 8 lads with stand out performances from each one , well done lads.
